“We hired Smart Air to install new HVAC systems in two homes and the work itself seems great. Their team was professional, efficient, and left both jobs in great shape. We were genuinely impressed with the quality of the installation and their overall knowledge.

That’s why it’s so disappointing to be chasing them down over something that should have been easy: the rebate applications that they promised to handle. They are on the Austin Energy list for participation contractors to apply for the city energy efficiency rebates. These rebates were an important part of our decision to go with Energy Star units, and we chose Smart Air in part because they assured us they’d take care of the paperwork.

Eleven months later, despite multiple requests and reminders, the rebate applications have not been sent in. In the meantime, our current president is threatening to eliminate Energy Star rebates. It’s not just frustrating—it feels like the last 5% of a great job is still missing. And it matters. We're talking over $1000, here, not a little rebate check.

We’re not the kind of people who like leaving bad reviews. It’s a call-in from satisfied (but weary) customers who would love to be fully satisfied.

Smart Air, please follow through. You’ve already done the hard part. Just close the loop.
